Bastet Newsletter 2019

Welcome to our January newsletter and happy new year, we trust you all enjoyed the festive celebrations. Yet again we had a very busy and successful autumn term at Bastet.

It all kicked off back in October with The Young Performers performance which was held in at The Shaftesbury Theatre in London. With 25 students we travelled by coach on an early Sunday morning, the students danced four numbers ranging from contemporary to Irish on a West End stage.

Congratulations to Georgia Huggins and Charlotte Pay who also auditioned and got a part in the English Youth Ballet this year at the Hawth Theatre in Cinderella in Hollywood.

Also at the end of term we also embarked on Classical Ballet and Modern and Tap exams, well done to all the students who participated. RESULTS ARE IN!!!!

We hope that you have been enjoying our new website in the new year we will be setting up our IDS dance shop for all parents and students to order anything from Bastet uniform to dance shoes. Once again we will keep you informed as to when this is up and running.

Sadly we are having to say goodbye to our lovely Contemporary teacher Daisy who is moving on to new ventures and opportunities she has recently taken up a position at Bird College and will also be working with the Laban centre. We would like to thank her for all her hard work she will surely be missed but we are hoping that Daisy will return to hold workshops for our students.
